Liberty Village Board of Director Member Lex Howard

Lex Howard: Chairman of the Board, Founder

Lex Howard has served as CEO of Balance of Nature since 2008, dedicating himself to making healthy living a reality to people around the world. Driven by a deep passion for helping people reach and maintain their full potential, he channeled this same commitment into founding Liberty Village. Inspired by the vision of America’s founders, Lex envisions a united community where people of diverse political views, faiths, and ideologies, come together with a shared purpose to uphold the principles of the United States Constitution.

Kathy Smith: Board Treasurer

Kathy Smith’s passion for liberty was ignited in 1976 when she joined a U.S. Constitution study group, sparking a lifelong dedication to America’s founding principles. Over the years, while raising her family, Kathy’s commitment to her community has grown through her volunteer work for political campaigns, co-founding a community action council and its nationally-recognized youth court program, and serving on both her local Planning Commission and City Council. In 2006, she married Bert Smith, the one who invited her to her first Constitution seminar and who helped distribute over 20 million copies of pocket-sized U.S. Constitutions. Kathy went on to found the Loving Liberty Network in 2018, dedicated to promoting the proper role of Constitutional government. A strong believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, Kathy finds her greatest joy in her family and faith. In 2023, she relocated to Washington County to support Liberty Village, and is honored to serve on its Board of Directors, contributing to the organization’s mission to inspire patriotism and uphold the Constitution.

Liberty Village Board of Director Member Victor Iverson

Victor Iverson: Board Secretary

Victor Iverson is a dedicated public servant with a deep commitment to the principles of local government and the vital role each of us plays in preserving and strengthening the legacy of our forebears for the benefit of future generations. Currently serving as a Washington County Commissioner, he was first elected to office in 2014. Prior to his tenure as an elected official, Commissioner Iverson advocated for local access and multiple use of Utah’s public lands, serving as an advisor to Senator Mike Lee. A respected leader across the State of Utah, Iverson has served as president of the Utah Association of Counties, navigating the organization through important changes. He has also contributed his expertise to numerous boards and committees, always championing the values of liberty, community, and public service. One of his proudest achievements was his role in declaring Washington County as “America’s County,” symbolizing the area’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s founding principles. Victor and his wife live on a hobby farm in La Verkin, He is a devoted father to five children and a proud grandfather of three grandchildren.

Liberty Village Board of Director Member Frank Dolce

Frank Dolce: Member of the Board

Frank has a wide-ranging and diverse business background, with experience managing Strategic Relationships for a high-tech software platform in the logistics sector, serving as Associate Athletic Director and Director of Development in higher education, and working as Director of Business Development in the mining and exploration industry. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to add substantial value and expertise, regardless of the role. Frank holds an M.B.A. with Honors from the prestigious David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, where he specialized in Strategic Management. One of Frank’s greatest strengths is his ability to connect with and collaborate effectively with others. Building strong, lasting relationships has been a key feature of his career and continues to drive his success. He is especially proud to be an American. Frank is married to the former Amy Allred of Salt Lake City and enjoys his free time outdoors with her and, whenever possible, with their three children, Alexandra, Frankie and Anthony.

Liberty Village Board of Director Member Richard Whitehead

Richard Whitehead: Member of the Board

Dr. Richard G. Whitehead, a native of St. George, UT, has spent his career devoted to education, leadership, and service. After earning his B.A. from Brigham Young University and his D.D.S. from Creighton University, Dr. Whitehead practiced dentistry and oral surgery for nearly three decades. His belief in the power of education led him to serve in numerous roles at Dixie State College, including co-founder of the National Advisory Council, President of the Alumni Association, and President of the Foundation. In 2000, he received an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from the Utah State Board of Regents. Alongside his wife, Launa, he presided over the England Bristol and Birmingham missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His leadership also extended to Southern Virginia University, where he served as VP of Institutional Advancement and interim University President. Dr. Whitehead continues to serve on various advisory boards, including Rocky Vista University Medical School. With six children, 21 grandchildren, and two great-grandsons, he remains dedicated to his family and community.

Linda Perry: Member of the Board

Linda Perry is a passionate philanthropist dedicated to service, faith, family, and country. Throughout her life, she has worked to uplift others, from sharing her musical talents to leading community and missionary efforts. A devoted mother of seven and grandmother of 18, Linda’s commitment to family and faith has always been at the heart of her work. As a graduate in Piano Performance and Composition, she has had the privilege of performing and accompanying hundreds of individuals throughout her career. Linda served alongside her husband, who was a  Mission President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they oversaw more than 500 missionaries. This experience profoundly deepened her commitment to service. Inspired by her husband’s role as National Chairman of the Board for the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, Linda worked alongside like-minded patriots, further fueling her passion for America’s values. Raised in politically active families, Linda’s dinner table was often filled with spirited discussions on liberty, shaping her lifelong dedication to these principles. A former BYU slalom champion, Linda enjoys skiing, tennis, and pickleball. She is honored to support Liberty Village and its mission alongside other dedicated patriots.
